The Rainbow club

We ended 2016 with a Christmas party and a trip to the theatre. Also with a win at The Isle of Wight Soup event with a £360 prize which will goes towards reopening our sports club in the school holidays. To boost this money Binstead Primary school has also donated £325 from their Christmas play collections.

The Eddie Izzard performance at Shanklin theatre of which we were one of 2 charities to benefit has just handed over an amazing £2676 to the Rainbow club! This is a massive amount of money for us and helps us on our way to becoming a registered charity.

2017 will be our 10th year so its time to think big! We are starting a massive fundraising pledge to raise money to purchase a home for The Rainbow Club. To secure its future for many more years to come so we can continue to support our families and more with better facilities/resources and equipment.

If you have any fundraising ideas or fancy holding an event then please do get in touch we need everyone help to do this, thank you.

We are happy to be accepted onto the Fare Share food scheme. We are now able to collect good food free from Tesco that would normally be wasted to use at our baby and toddler sessions for both children and parents to enjoy.

We are now proud to have 2 clubs running.

 * Our Family meet catering for all ages and abilities meeting every 4th Saturday 2-4pm at The United reform church, Ryde.

*Our baby and toddler session every Thursday 9.30-11.30am at East Cowes children centre which is also open to babies and young children with significant health needs. In the school holidays this session also opens to all ages and siblings with a holiday session time of 10-12noon.

And we are hoping to expand our library of resources soon and be able to offer more for families on the island.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Wight Bowmen for their kind donation to The Rainbow Club they collected during their midnight event. Also to Somerset care for their sponsored walk on Ryde seafront in aid of The Rainbow club. Thank you xx
